Keyed Beeps A unique training feature of the MKIV that allows you to start a secondary timer on a given shot to help coach you and give you some audible feed back of how you are doing in the middle of your string. For example, let’s say you are shooting six, reload, six. You might set the MKIV to give you a keyed beep 1.5 seconds after your 6th shot. At the beep, you draw and fire your first six and start your reload. When the MKIV hears your 6th shot it will automatically start a secondary timer and beep 1.5 seconds (or what ever you set it to) after your 6th shot. OK, you blaze away for 6 shots (all perfect hits of course) and start your reload… just as your mag is starting to seat you hear a beep – this lets you know immediately that you were just over your 1.5 second reload goal - press on and complete your string. If you like you can jump back to your 7th shot and see how far past 1.5 you were on the reload. You continue to work and find that by refining your technique a bit, you are seating the magazine, and eventually on the sight and firing before the Keyed beep. |
